Still essential. I volunteer at Friends of the Greenbelt Library (FOGL) and sort and shelve in the used book store, Novel Endings. I don't borrow because I have too many TBRs on my bookshelves. Sometimes I download from Audible just so I can donate the hard copy to the library. It is so great to see all the families with children--the used bookstore, where I usually am, is right next to the children's section.
I love borrowing print and audio books through my library Libby app! I also still love dropping in to get print books when they are only available in print format. I love that libraries have kept up with changing formats and continue to be relevant leaders!
Thanks for this, Ania. My library includes lots of interesting programming (including that Cyanotype class I've been taking) and a library of things (gardening tools, small kitchen appliances, even a few e-bikes). And I love my librarians!
